  1. Thank you for the work you are doing. We need similar groups in the south suburbs of Cook County. The investment in suburban communities west of Harlem between Lincoln Highway and 159th street mirrors Chicago’s handling of TIF funds. On June 11, 2020 Chicago Tribune published an article, Tinley Park meets the criteria for a TIF district. Where is the blight iin Tinley Park? Many of the suburbs east of Harlem are predominantly black and while the blight is evident in those communities. Property taxes remain high while the infrastructure crumbles. Where are our tax dollars going? Why didn’t the county invest in Oak Forest Hospital instead of allowing it to fall into disrepair?

Oh and let’s not forget, in 2019 Tinley Park settled a lawsuit for housing discrimination.

Economic inequality, housing discrimination,…will black families ever get a break? We have a right to THRIVE now and for generations to come!

I would prefer to remain anonymous to avoid retaliation.
